Would any SD card work for this Vivitar 8018?

We bought a low priced digital camera. We did not know that it can not be used to capture images unless you have an SD memory card up to 8GB. The location where the SD card is inserted into the camera is a rather wide one inch.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That seems to be a standard type of SD card. I have a couple of these and they are inexpensive. Take your camera to a computer, camera, or Walmart type store and ask for a card  that you can for sure insert.

I use these for getting images from our digital camera to Computer

Tentative to pay $15+ for an SD card from Vivitar or anyone since this model has low reviews.
The new sealed camera only cost us $5 so we might just trash it.

The camera was sealed and we bought from an individual so no refund. We did not know it did not have internal memory.

Maybe 1 inch wide SD cards are standard?

The other very old cameras we have both have internal memory.

Our Digital Camera (not too old Nikon) uses the (roughly) 1 inch wide SD card. Removable. Such a card should fit.

As I said, visit a camera store and check.
