ASP.Net MVC Core - Print Button @Media

I have an MVC application in EF Core that I tried using the @media print etc. and using this in chrome but the print always is showing my layout page etc.   How can I handle this best without having to build all new pages etc. to have a print button in EF Core MVC that would ignore the layout?  I tried multiple things found on forums with no luck.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

YOu should define hiding rules as part of your CSS file rules, for example:
@media print {
    .non-printable {
        display: none !important;
    .printable {
        display: block;

Open in new window

then on your view  add the non-printable class to whatever html element that is not required for print
