Cisco Meraki & Active Directory Group Policy Processing

We have a Cisco Meraki wireless network and have recently set up a Corporate SSID that is pulling the information from our Domain Controllers.  I can successfully connect to them via Meraki dashboard and they test good.  We can also successfully connect wirelessly to the network and access the resources with no problem.  the issue we are having is that when we log in, the GPO's aren't being successfully applied via the Wi-Fi connection (the drive mappings are not applying).  Other than that everything seems fine.  Any ideas what the issue could be?  We contacted Meraki and they told me that the Meraki is just providing the connection and has no control over the processing of GPO's and I totally understand that.

correct is "Meraki is just providing the connection".
I think you (your devices) logon after user has logged on.
That's the simple/normal way.
But if you wish connectivity before userlogon (for device GPO's or Windowsupdates) or GPO processing while user logging in, you need WiFi connectivity direct after system-boot.

One option is to configure WiFi for 802.1x authentication with machine credentials.

So the Notebook can build the WiFi connection without userlogon.

Thank you, that worked.
