VMware converter: Unable to obtain the lock on virtual disks

I cannot convert XP desktop using VMware vCenter converter standalone on Win 10 desktop. I am using IP addresses for the shares, permission to the shares and folders are full for everyone, passwords works fine.
XP is not on the domain, but Win 10 is. When I am starting the conversion task, I am getting Certificate warnings and fails at the end with status Unable to obtain the lock on virtual disks.

Hello,

When you want to use the vmware converter on a server with a windows operating system, you must install it directly on the server you want to convert.

Validate that the version of vmware converted that you are going to use is compatible with XP.

Regards..

Thanks, John and Andrew. I downloaded v5.5, and local run was successful (remote failed for some reason).

Thanks for the update. I think getting Converter 5.5 was what I suggested early on here.
