What will the DNS CNAME look like

Question
What will the DNS CNAME look like, and which folder does it go into GPSgo.local or GPSgo.com.
Support said an autodiscover  CNAME needs to be created.

Environment
The company GPSgo mail is hosted by an outside company.
Hosted companies link to their mail system postofficeUSA.net

Network environment
This is a Windows 2008 r2 AD. DNS server.
I have two folders which are GPSgo.local & GPSgo.com in DNS
OutlookOffice16

Problem
When a companies internal IT department  creates a new Outlook profile, the install process Searches for the users email address for example TShine@GPSgo.com and fails due To the “autodiscover” not working and is not present.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
