It really tells me nothing. The entire installation is messed up. No solutions online and quite a few people have the same issue. I ripped through the registry and removed as many references to sql server I could and renamed sql server directories. Trying to reinstall now.<br />

I am trying to install SSIS (Integration Services) for a SQL Server 2016 install. The install works fine, and I can see the services running, however, the app that is using SSIS internally fails and also I cannot connect to an SSIS server. When I try, I do not see a server available. Shouldn't I? <br />

I'm very confused a this point. The error message the 3rd party app is throwing is: <br />

Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundExce<wbr />ption: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Manag<wbr />edDTS, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd808<wbr />0cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.<br />

SSIS Server is Missing

Installation is the act of making a computer program program ready for execution. Because the process varies programs often come with a specialized program responsible for doing whatever is needed for their installation. Installation may be part of a larger software deployment process. Cross platform installer builders that produce installers for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux include InstallAnywhere, InstallBuilder and Install4J. Installers for Microsoft Windows include Windows Installer, InstallShield, and Wise Installation Studio; free installer-authoring tools include NSIS, IzPack, Clickteam, InnoSetup, InstallSimple and WiX. Mac OS X includes Installer, and also includes a separate software updating application.

Installation

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a component of the Microsoft SQL Server database software that can be used to perform a broad range of data migration tasks. SSIS is a platform for data integration and workflow applications. It features a fast and flexible data warehousing tool used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The tool may also be used to automate maintenance of SQL Server databases and updates to multidimensional cube data. SSIS replaced Data Transformation Services, which had been a feature of SQL Server since Version 7.0.

SSIS

SQL (Structured Query Language) is designed to be used in conjunction with relational database products as of a means of working with sets of data. SQL consists of data definition, data manipulation, and procedural elements. Its scope includes data insert, query, update and delete, schema creation and modification, and data access control.
