RDP License lost

Some time ago we have on-boarded a client form another MSP. Their terminal services server is giving up on them. Obviously the previous MSP doesn't have RDP license information nor the client does. I can see that they have 15 licenses installed but they don't have any information about that. No receipts, email, account login information, etc.

We would like to reinstall the server since there are multiple other issues including unknown BOSD.

Is there a way to recover the rdp  license form the  Server 2008R2?

Nope.
I ran into a similar situation. Evidently there is no way to recover the licenses.
I even called Microsoft Clearinghouse, they were unable to help.
