What situations can cause a user to get disconnected from a Citrix session?

We have various users that get disconnected from their sessions.  We thought it was because they were logging off incorrectly.  However, after working with a few of them, we found they were logging off correctly.

if session is not folly closed the session is disconnected at Client-shutdown
Some apps generate a status-icon on the taskbar or use has helper-processes not closing with closing the app.
Take a look to processes running within disconnected sessions.
If you end the task (taskmanager) and the session is logged off you have the bad guy.
