It is read and write cache, &nbsp;the controller does not know if the data is sequential or random until it's been asked to read or write it so it is in effect for any data, it's just not so effective with sequential data.<br />

Hardware RAID Question

Linux is a UNIX-like open source operating system with hundreds of distinct distributions, including: Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Debian, Slackware, Gentoo, CentOS, and Arch Linux.
