Problem configuring Exchange 2013 DAG Networking

Exchange 2013 dag confusion

I created DAG in my new Exchange 2013 organisation.
Prior to adding members, I configured a second NIC on each server following various guides.
I only gave it IP and subnet mask, it's a different subnet than client access NIC, i changed the order so the CLIENT NIC is above REPL NIC, I unticked register....DNS and checked Disable NetBIOS.

I expected that the DAG wizard will pickup the network I intended for replication only, but after creating a DAG, I see 2 networks in the DAG network section in ECP.

They are named MapiDagNetwork and ReplicationDagNetwork01.

Is that by design ? Should I see these 2 networks or should it be only the one I configured for replication ?

Thanks

You will see both NICs, one will be for MAPI traffic and the other will be for Replication traffic. That is by design.
Here is a screenshot of what you are probably seeing. I just found this screenshot on the following link so I can show you.

OK, but will it first try to use 'ReplicationDagNetwork01' ? Both networks are replication enabled so how is the choice being made ?
