Linux VPN client not working

Dear Experts,

I'm having an impossible time trying to VPN to a  Cisco Meraki Firewall with a LInux Ubuntu MATE desktop.

I only need to setup the secret key the username and password. I do not need to have a certificate.

The Linux VPN clients are not working. Is there a script I could use from somewhere?

Thank you!

Step1: disable IPTABLES
Step 2: Which type of VPN you are trying to configure

I tried OpenVPN
may i know how you are configuring

or can we have 1:1
Sure! The problem I think is asking me for a certificate. Otherwise will not let me keep the configuration. I can do it easily in Windows 10.

I use in Windows 10:

Connection Name
address of Cisco Meraki
VPN type: L2TP/IPSEC with pre-shared key
Pre-shared key
User name
Password

Once I create that entry I go the network adapter settings and change the Security to:

Allow These protocols:

PAP
CHAP
MS-CHAP -v2
can u please explain how you are doing in ubuntu machine
I installed the OpenVPN client.
FYI: I already have a VPN client installed. PIA VPN.
Installl this package for GUI

sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome

FROM network manager just configure HOST, sharekey etc., and enable the protocols,

pfa

hope this will help you
