"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Could you please elaborate your issue and where have you installed the certificate?

A certificate just describes the publc key. The private key is needed to encrypt stuff (A private key is created BEFORE a CSR is made.
the CSR only containes some identifying material (hostnames, mailaddresses) andthe public key.
The certificate that signed that CSR has no more information and needs to be united with the private key again to be useful.
Please state what you intend to do... it might help guiding your actions.
