OneDrive: sync folders in root of D: drive instead of d:\onedrive?

I have my onedrive synced to d:\OneDrive (for business).
However, I'd like all files and folders just to appear on d:\ (without the onedrive).

Can that be done (please do not mention "mapping d:\onedrive to another letter, this is a dirty solution).

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

No, it will always be under a "root" OneDrive folder. You can however use a "junction", which while not officially supported should work in most scenarios. Here's an example article that explains what a junction is:

Of course, being not supported mean that you are on your own if you run into any issues with this solution.
