Hi all, look to setup a "nanny cam" type of setup - i need wireless home cameras that dont require power - any suggestions?

I think i'd need about 8.

Most inexpensive WiFi and network cameras have eventually been found to have backdoors in them (built in at the factories in China; no surprise there) that allow subverting the cameras even when located inside a firewalled network.  To date very few manufacturers have remedied that situation and they are still being sold.

Wired cameras, whether video-only or UTP on a separate camera-only network are much preferable, in my opinion.  They cannot be subverted from outside.  Security cameras should enhance security, not annihilate it.

Sure appreciate that, but dont care for the security concerns.
