In Exchange, give Full Access permissions to the person who needs to access the mailbox. Then in Outlook, go to File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings. Double click on the user's email account. Click More Settings. Go to Advanced tab. Add the mailbox they need to access. It will now appear at the bottom of their folder list in Outlook.

Also in the the exchange powershell type the following cmdlets and this will also grant the user permissions to the mailbox:

Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "sourcemailbox" -User "username needing permissions" -AccessRights Fullaccess -InheritanceType all

After about 30 minutes it will appear in the user's outlook profile.

In Exchange Admin, open up the mailbox that you want to give permissions to. Click on mailbox delegation. Scroll down to "Full Access". Add the user there who is going to access the mailbox.

Cobra,
The easiest way is via powershell and have it automap to the user's Outlook

Open your exchange management shell

Add-MailboxPermission 'emailaddresstobeseen' -User 'emailaddressoftheviewer' -AccessRights FullAccess -AutoMapping $True

With that one liner you will not have to touch the user's outlook.  The mailbox will show up

It doesnt have to be Auto, i can do this manually as well.

FOXActive Directory/Exchange EngineerCommented:
Yes run it in the shell and give it 30-45 minutes depending on your environment before checking their outlook

OK - is there a way to do in EAC also?

FOXActive Directory/Exchange EngineerCommented:
Of course it won't automap though.  The powershell one liner I gave you is your best bet with no touch on the client side

*If the person that needs full rights will be sending as the mailbox, they will need "send as" rights as well.  Your powershell command for send as or via the gui is in that link as well

omation.com -AccessRights FullAccess -AutoMapping $True
