connect Netgear WNDA3400 to act as a wireless access point behind a SonicWALL SOHO

Trying to connect Netgear WNDA3400 to act as a wireless access point behind a SonicWALL SOHO. I read post from other users about same issue. I tried but no success. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Are you trying to get the Netgear WNDA3400 to be a wireless bridge or wireless repeater?
If the SonicWall is the main router and the Netgear is an add-on, you should be able to do the following:

Plug a LAN port on the Netgear to a LAN port on the SonicWall.

Log into the Netgear setup and give the LAN address a static IP address on the SonicWall Network.

Go to the DHCP setup on the Netgear and turn DHCP OFF.

Now wireless devices on the Netgear will get LAN addresses and Internet from the SonicWall.

I have a setup like this here (all Cisco gear) and the concepts are identical.

I guess as a repeater. The router is connected to a switch that is connected to the SonicWALL. I may be going about this the wrong way. Maybe it should be a bridge.
You only need a bridge if you are covering a long distance with the Netgear. If you do not need a large area, try the way I described.
Yes, in general the only thing bringing is good for are modems so that firewalls can be fully utilized, removing double NAT and also to manage the authentication where required. Bridging should really be confined to that unless you need to wirelessly bridge a segment that physically cannot accept a wire to reach an WAP (really not ideal).
Thanks for the help. I will be able to try these suggestions tomorrow. If these work I will let you know. Thanks for all the help.
