>> Do you need a multispeaker setup? << see my QFair enough. I'd go the Sonos route for a Wi-Fi one. Hadn't worked much with other ones, but I haven't had much reason to look at other Wi-fi speaker systems given that they've worked that well.
If portability mattered and/or you just wanted to go cheap with 1-2, then I'd go Bluetooth.

starting at 250 - and up to over 700 euro seems a bit steep for me; but the site has a bit of info over wifi vs blutooth

i know i can use USb, but there are very limited number of ports - requiring an extra hub

Nobus there is USB hubs, here's a 4 port USB hub idea with an extended cable to plug into the laptop you can browse.

i know these, Merete, but it adds to cost and is a bitcontradictionary, since the idea was "wireless"
