exchange, databases

there is one mail box which is getting quarantined in exchange for some reason we deleted the registry key and remounted the mailbox database on which this mail box was created

but there is another exchange guy he said he failedover the DB , what does that mean

where he would have failover the db

we have exchange 2010 sp 3 dag environment

Fail over is all together different concept, you fail over the database within a DAG from active copy to passive copy,, this is high availability feature in 2010 and onward, in mailbox quarantine this is not related

If you have removed the mailbox from the quarantine using regkeys no need to fail over the database to any other node.

just removing the reg key from quarantine doesn't help we need to dismount and remount the db but this guy came with another theory that he failover the db which he is not responding how he did it
