Is it still possible to upgrade from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10 for free?

Is it still possible to upgrade from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10 for free?

Either as a clean install with a product key and/or upgrade using USB Stick/Media Creation Tool.

The internet seems to vary in it's answers if googling within the last few months.

Thanks in advanced for your help

It is still possible, nothing has changed.
Ask Microsoft if there is a reason why they say "the free offer expired" but it still works as before - I don't know, I can only guess they earn more money with win10 adopters then they lose by not selling a license.

Many Thanks. Just to clarify, Is it still possible to upgrade within Windows 7/8?

It doesn't have to be a clean install?

An earlier question you may want to review.

Agreed, perception is split, it still seems to be technically doable, but the unanswered question is is it ethically / legally allowed.
