How to Download all of our data from LinkedIn Recruiter Lite

As the subscription costs really add up over the long haul, we plan to cancel our LinkedIn Recruiter Lite account over the summer months and resume it again in September.

If we do  this then we will get an empty account when we resume in a 4 months' time. This is grossly annoying as we lose all of the data we have paid to generate over the past few years. Of course we can save the primary data by down loading CV's, but we lose items like stats on how many applications, and when, Groups candidates are part of, the ability to filter candidates by; Location, Company, Job title, First name, Last name, Years of experience, Education, etc.  Plus we lose the useful recruitment interface that they provide to view that data.

Although LinkedIn does not advertise the fact, I have a feeling that it is somehow possible to download all of our data.  It is our data after all, plus we have paid significant number of thousands in subscrip

Hi,

I am following up on your question.  Do you still need help?

If you solved the problem on your own, would you please post the solution here in case others have the same problem?

Don't you ultimately have a three-months "grace period" or similar to recover data?

If not, this may be "what life is" and the hard reality of cloud services.
Or regard your subscription to cover eight months, though paid over twelve months ...

What does Linked in say?  Do they offer a way to transfer data using files?

I know this doesn't help you but this is the reason that I don't recommend cloud services for my clients.  I know it is nice to have someone else manage the app but it is virtually impossible to get your data back if you decide there is a better option out there.  More than one of my clients has had to simply abandon data.  One printed it out and hired someone to rekey thousands of records.  If you have the option of using their software but hosting the web site yourself, that is a far better option if you want to retain control over your data.

Hi,

Linkedln have said that at this time. they don't have the functionality available for downloading applicant data from our Recruiter Lite account.

We can save the primary data by downloading CV's, but we still lose items like stats on how many applications, and when, groups candidates are part of, the ability to filter candidates by; Location, Company, Job title, First name, Last name, Years of experience, Education, etc.

Is there a way of downloading/ exporting our data whether it be via Linkedln or via some application?

Thanks,
Robbie

I'm sorry you can't get your data from LinkedIn.  Check your contract and see what your legal department can come up with.   Whether linked in wants to make a user requestable download or not, they DO have the ability to give your data to you IF THEY WANT TO.  Hopefully, you can make them want to.  Companies that run applications as a service need to be made to return ALL your data in a usable format.  We never had this problem when we installed the third-party applications on our own computers.
