I think you will need to reinstall Windows 7 use bootcamp and fill the disk with one partition only for Windows.

I hope when you say that you "got" a macbook air, that suggests that you didn't pay for it.

wiping out an apple product just to add windows 7 seems like a bit of overkill. But to each his own.

I would probably suggest not going with Windows 7 and instead going with Windows 10. At least that product will be supported a longer than Window 7, which will only be around another year and a half.

Hi,

I bought the MacBook Air.
And I installed windows 10. No Mac OS now .
But I got issues with drivers. Whatever driver I download it says could not find the network hardware or not compatible.

So now I got windows OS in Mac hardware. From where do I get network /wireless all kind of drivers ?? Any help
Install the Bootcamp Drivers to fix the driver issue.  Unfortunately, if your MacBook Air is older, you may not be able to get the correct drivers if you installed the newer Windows 10.  You may have to find the correct Bootcamp drivers.

You should be able delete the Mac partition, then expand/extend the disk from Windows.

Ok. I will have a look.

I just used the USB stick with windows 10 bootable files to install windows OS. When I plug in USB stick, it comes as efi partition and then I deleted all existing partition and created one for windows OS and installed it. Like we do in normal windows computer .

So, are you saying without bootcamp I cannot even install windows OS ????
To double check, When I restart MacBook, I click options  button and it shows only windows to login. No Mac OS
No, You can still install Windows.  You'll be  missing drivers for basic things, depending on the Mac model.  Sometimes it's the touchpad, sometimes its network, sometimes it's certain graphics.  When you install a Mac Bootcamp, you're supposed to use OS X to create the Bootcamp Windows Installer USB, which downloads and inserts the Windows Bootcamp drivers to the USB when it creates the Bootable installer USB.  You're supposed to save that USB so that you can reinstall Windows 10 again onto that Mac.

Ok .
So my steps are
1- download bootcamp drivers
2- then bootcamp will install drivers to usbstick.
3- should I re install windows again ???
If windows is already installed.  Then just copy the drivers to the Windows partition and install them.
