BACKUP LOG cannot be performed because there is no current database backup (SQL 2012)

I have changed the database mode from Simple to Full and enabled transaction log backup. I can see a successful Full backup but am still getting the error "BACKUP LOG cannot be performed because there is no current database backup"
Can anyone help?

You did not get a full db backup after the db was transitioned to FULL recovery model.

You have to take a FULL db backup before you can take a log backup.

Hi Scott,
You could be right! I looked at the time on the log for the 'Full' and misread it. Will find out tomorrow!

Nah.  A lot of people take a full backup right before they change to FULL recov model ("just in case", I guess).  But it makes a lot more sense to wait and take a full backup immediately after changing to FULL mode.
