Unable to visit site without 'www' before the domain name.

Unable to visit website without 'www' before the site name. The site works fine when I enter 'www' before hand.

What sort of record must I create on my hosting service? A? CNAME? I've done this a million times but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working. I must be overlooking something.

This is not an IIS or GoDaddy. The company name is Site5.

For reference, here are some of the records I've created. Is there another record that I need to create? I figured these should be sufficient to resolve the site without the use of 'www'

Records below:

Name      TTL      Class      Type      Data
domainname.net.      86400      IN      SOA      ns1.hostingcompany.com. root.shared78.account.com. 2018051009 86400 7200 3600000 86400
domainname.net.      86400      IN      NS      ns1.hostingcompany.com.

domainname.net.      86400      IN      A      111.111.111.111
domainname.net.      86400      IN      A      111.111.111.112

I'm not sure you should have two A records for the same name.  On my site, the 'www' is specified in a CNAME record.

Is the website and the domain the same?
