FM - Can You Create Dynamic Columns for Portals?

Can You Create Dynamic Columns for Portals?  My boss wants to choose which columns he wants to show because we're running out of screen room etc.  Only way I can think of doing it is to create a pop up layout in table view where he has the column picker.  Any suggestions?

In Table View, you have the Modify button on the right. He can easily select the columns he want and change the order there. The table view will re-arrange itself to match.

I suppose you could also create a set of calculation fields, one for each column and set the column to be whatever value is selected for that column, but I think the Modify button is more efficient and gives you access to all fields easily.

the little drawback of this is that it will be modified for other users too...
I am a bit surprised you need charts wider than a 24" screen. has he something against the horiz. scroll?

To clarify: 1)  W e have main date to the left and portals to the right on his "Exec Dashboard" and he just asked for two more columns to be added to our Tenant portal that makes the portal extend off the screen to the right.  2) Yes, Lesouef, regarding scrolling, he has a fundamental problem with any task that takes more than one click.  3) Regarding Will's comment, actually not all fields are immediately available in the Modify view of a Table layout, but I think that's an advantage.  Instead of scrolling through hundreds of fields to choose, you add only those fields to the Modify screen that you commonly use and thus limit the number you have to choose from.  Great job by Filemaker.  Now, if we can only get them to make Value List names dynamic in the a calc field and clean up the slow open to Filemaker 16, I'd by happy.
