Migration from IBM Domino to Exchange 2016

We are planning to migrate IBM Domino + EMC SourceOne (centralized archiving) environment to   ----> Exchange 2016 + EMCSourceOne with the coexistence between them during migration,

All the mailboxes on Domino servers are huge size if we retrieve the archives back.

Have anyone done similar migration,

Which are migration tools required for the migration of live emails and archives.

What would be the best approach for migration.

IMHO it doesn't make sense to migrate from Domino to Exchange, on premise. What are the advantages? It costs an awful lot of money, and what you get is just a mail system that has some advantages but also quite some drawbacks. What made you decide to move over? All I can say is that a properly managed Domino system can easily compete with a properly managed Exchange system.
I worked and supported both products. Better you stick to Domino. Note: Exchange is just a mailing product. Where as Domino is a collaboration tool. In which mail is one component. In order to move to Exchange you need AD, Exchange, Lync, Sharepoint etc. Which all you can do in Domino as one product. Also, you cannot migrate application created in Domino to Exchange. I have seen lot of client make this mistake and later waste money by running both platforms and pay for license and admin cost.

If  you still want to move, you need 3rd party tool. And migration is complex.

The problem is Domino with SourceOne.

SourceOne archived all domino emails and created the stub in domino mailbox.

Have anyone experience with this scenario.
1. If you are worried about archived.nsf file then let me tell you that you need to copy this file & browse it from the tool. The software will then migrate this archived NSF file to Exchange.

2. Talking about Domino mailbox transfer then you can choose "Select Domino User" option within the software & can directly migrate Lotus Domino mailboxes to Exchange.
