ESXi HA non SAN
I have two dell servers with 3TB 10K SAS drives total in a RAID 6. I was wondering if its possible to use ESXi between both servers in an HA setup (without a SAN present).
The only way to accomplish this is with SAN or vSAN.

Okay so vSAN is an option? That seems like it would fit my situation. Or am I missing a piece?

Answer no!
But do you know what VMware HA does?
you could usen vSAN but its recommended you have 4 hosts
and it is a licensed produt
you could replicate VMs from host a to host b

Would something like this work? NETGEAR ReadyNAS 316
It only has two gigabyte nic ports. So I would have to do one to each server....
