Printer status not available?

My printer is a Samsung. I have to print something for my project because it's due tomorrow yet it says "Printer status not available" and does not let me print it. Please help!

How is your printer connected to your computer?

1. USB?  Try a different port and restart the computer.

2. Networked?  May the printer has a different IP (DHCP connection).  Try scanning for the printer with the printer driver.
I suspect you are connected with a TCP/IP (ethernet) port. In that case go to Printer Properties and click the Ports tab. Click the "Configure Port" button and untick "SNMP Status enabled".

In network connected, set the printer to a static IP address and the Printer Port to that IP.  Using static IP prevents the printer from getting lost or disconnected.

what system, and printer model, OS and connection type of the printer
