ISCSI target error from ESX host when adding LUNS

I am getting this error when I add LUNs to a host that has only ISCSI setup for the HBAs.  Any ideas?

Login to iSCSI target iqn.2002-03.com.compellent
:5000d3100026bcc8 on vmhba39 failed. Target
returned login error of: 0101.

from ESXi host or vCenter Server ?

Thx Andrew for the quick reply as always.  The error is from the host.  It is a newly added host who just has 10G ISCSI and I was adding the host into the storage group on the Compellent that has hosts who use FC only and existing LUNs which are mapped to that group of hosts.  When I add in the new host it would try to stand but it would just be at state of "trying, and trying" and I would eventually just need to remove the new host from the storage group cluster.
