Remove PDF/A Information from a Nuance Power PDF file

I would like to remove PDF/A information from a Nuance Power PDF document so the recipient can fill in data. It is a form.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There's no way that I'm aware of to remove PDF/A from that file, but there's a way to achieve your objective, i.e., create a version of the file that is PDF, not PDF/A, which can then be sent to the recipient. There are numerous ways to do it in Power PDF Advanced (they're probably the same in Power PDF Standard, but I have only Power PDF Advanced). Here are the simple steps for one way in Power PDF Advanced:

Open the PDF/A
On the Home ribbon, click Extract
Range - enter all pages (such as, 1-10)
OK

You'll now have all the extracted pages in a new window. Now simply save it to a new PDF file:

File
Save or Save As
Make sure Save as type is PDF (not PDF/A)
Save

That will do it. The new file will be PDF, not be PDF/A...send that one. Regards, Joe
