yes, DB2 has JSON support and you need to follow certain steps to enable it as mentioned in the above link..

To be more clear, JSON support is there for all versions of DB2. If you have a valid DB2 license, then this is included in your license costs( no additional cost required). JSON support is also there for Express edition of DB2 which is free as well. Hope this is clear..

I suppose its free as part of JSON support. For supporting JSON, it is using NoSQL Wire Listener..

As I mentioned earlier, IBM NoSQL Wire Listener is free and it comes as part of the JSON support for DB2 across all editions.
yes, you can say that it is not natively supported/enabled as you need to enable/configure manually.
