e-discovery search in office 365 admin console

when i do a e-discovery search in office 365 admin console for share point i can see search for the sites and documents , but when i try to open the sites it says access denied but the documents in that site i can download and access it,
is this is a normal behavior for sites even though i am an Admin

Which admin role do you have?
Permissions assigned to SharePoint sites are completely separate from the Office 365 global admin role. You can be a global admin without access to a SharePoint site if you weren't added to it or didn't create the site.
