How popular is Ubuntu OS?
Where can I find popularity per Operating System. I am surprised some folks never heard of Ubuntu. Most popular Linux distrubutions I thought.

Ubuntu is a popular Linux OS (and I have an Ubuntu VM), but Windows still owns the market share of non-device Computers leaving Linux and MAC with niche percentages.

Well, I always felt that if a user were going to choose ubuntu, they might as well go whole hog and use Debian instead. After all, ubuntu is Debian underneath; it's just that all the controls have been hidden.
I used Debian door a while, but I found that when I needed help, the speed of responses was better with Ubuntu, purely due to the larger number of users.
However, that was probably fifteen years ago or thereabouts.
