SCCM 2016: after upgrade: cannot connect to "old" sccm anymore via console

Since I upgraded my console, to be able to connect to our new SCCM server (1802), I cannot connect to the old one anymore. Neither via console or powershell.

Please advise.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

what is the error you are getting while connecting to old sccm console?

Have you upgraded the console itself? That is the classic reason for the "cannot connect". That and the DB being turned off...

Yes upgraded console, but I still should be able to connect to old sccm.

Hi - I misread the question. What exactly do you mean "old one"? Do you have TWO instances of SCCM running? If so, you probably can't use the new console to connect to the old site ( and for good reason). Please give more details.
