I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have mentioned 3 machines in desktop pool. only one user can login in one time. others cant login

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
Because those machines are dedicated to those users. So if you have created three desktops, and user A, user B, and user C logons on, there are assigned a desktop each.

when  user d logs on their is no desktop for them, so either add a 4th desktop.

either add more desktops or create a floating pool.

Check the agent in the VM, re-create the pool.

the other two VMs are not reporting their status, and hence are not available.

when I create 3 machines in a desktop pool. I can see the status of all machines. one machine status is avaiable. and others showing error.

only one machine can resolve the dns. other are not resolving.

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
You've got an issue with the VM TCP/IP DNS settings, check DNS is working in those VMs.

Hence why they cannot contact and register their agent status.

But I am using same VM tempalte for all. why one is working fine, why not others

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
That's the question and diagnosis you need to check, by logging onto each VM, checking if DNS is working....

or delete pool, re-create and check ALL Status and Agents come online, if there is an error with your VMs in the pool, no users are going to connect.

or delete those VMs, and add more.

have you restarted the VMs, just to check they come online ?

every Virtual desktop should have different IP and uniqure name?

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
Correct, like any device on the LAN.

Now it is working. I create again Virtual desktop pool With two Virtual desktop machines. both machines have same name but IPs are different. there is no entry in active Directory users and computer and no entry in dns.

How these Virtual desktop machines are working?

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
Sysprep or QuickPrep is not running, as you must have different names for VMs.
