Configure hMailserver

instructions for 1:

• start hMailServer setup, accept agreement, install location, full installation, select database (new one MSSQL or other like MySQL), password for administrator, install.

• click start - click on hMail Server Administrator, Connect, enter hmail server administrator password

• click add domain (yourdomain.com), from the side menu click on yourdomain.com - accounts and click add to add a new email user (.i.e user), fill the details and click save

instructions for 2:

• open outlook, create new email account, manual settings

• the email address is user@yourdomain.com, incoming and outgoing mail server will be YOUR SERVER IP ADDRESS. if this is a production server, you should assign a DNS name for it

• enter the credentials (user@yourdomain.com and the password created with created the user

I have given you a simple basic configuration, there are plenty plenty of options in hmail server, that you need to check whether it suite your needs or not (domain integration, SSL, real ip, spam and antivirus systems integration, mx records, ports,  etc...) these are different from one organization to another, and again, depends on your needs.

youname: User Full Name
email: user@domain.com
account: pop3 or imap - choose whats suitable for you
incoming: server 2008 ip
outgoing: server 2008 ip

username: user@domain.com
password: password specified.

you can integrate the hMailServer with active directory, or create separate accounts for emails.

Can you please see attached screenshot below and advise why I got problem to configure the account, while Huamin is one AD user of the domain, on the server?

in you reply here #a42577804, you should click on the bottom option (manually configure ....), and you will the configuration page i showed you above.

I have created MX record to domain, like

How to further set up the incoming and outgoing Mail servers, within the server?

Sorry to that I still have doubt to your answer. Can you please clear my doubt in there?

I've checked that currently my Email server is working fine, but what to adjust below, in Outlook, to re-configure my hMailserver account?
