what kind of DB2 Geographic Replication solution
hi,
what kind of DB2 Geographic Replication solution we can have?

ASKER
data move back and forward? or just one direction ?
ASKER
any limitation using HADR to replicate ?
should be this : IBM InfoSphere Data Replication?
what is the diff between IBM InfoSphere Data Replication and HADR can offer ?

"HADR replicates "everything" from primary to standby."
yeah, very basic.
"IBM InfoSphere Data Replication"
so this one is CDC you are referring to and it is the pure replication solution and we can replicate with filtering, right ?
But they both can replicate across long distance (countries) , right ?

Yes, but you need to account for some latency in very long distances and configure accordingly.

tks. just need a good network connection with 0 latency is good enough, what is your suggestion ?

Hi,
0 ms latency over a long distance network (WAN) is impossible.
Even with high performance fiber-cables you still will get 1 ms latency for every 100km distance between sites.

tks all.
DB2 with HADR can be used in this scenario where sites are in different geographical sites.
