How to access the Shared Mailbox from some app in Android/iPhone?

Hi everyone.

I have a Office365 account/mailbox (synced from my onpremises AD/Exchange) myaccount@mydomain.com. This account/mailbox have full permission (and send as) on a shared mailbox (account/mailbox synced from my onpremises AD/Exchange and converted to shared mailbox later from Office365 Portal) with AutoMap enabled in Powershell.

Access to myaccount and sharedmailbox:

OWA access - OK
Office Outlook Client 2010/2013/2016 - OK

The question is: how to access the Shared Mailbox from some app in Android/iPhone??

unfortunately you can't access the shared mailbox on your mobile device.

the only way this will be possible is if the shared mailbox is an active user account and not a disabled account like a normal shared mailbox. you will need to also know the password for the shared mailbox and then you would set up the mailbox the same way you would set up access to your personal mailbox.
If you happen to have the old OWA app, it allows you to access shared mailboxes. Unfortunately, Microsoft retired the OWA app few weeks ago an it can be downloaded from the apple/android store anymore. Another option is to simply use the browser on the device to access OWA and open the shared mailbox from there.

Microsoft promised that the Outlook app will support access to shared mailboxes by end of the year... I wouldnt hold my breath.
