"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Reset the printer driver on the MAC Mini. Likely the Printer was set for DHCP and changed its IP address when disconnected / connected.  Resetting the printer driver on the MAC should reconnect it.

To prevent this, change the HP Printer to a Static IP Address, reconnect it and that should then be permanent.

What model? Print a Self Test/Device Configuration and check if IP address is different before resetting anything

Turns out to be trivial...

Follow these steps to add the printer on each computer that shares the printer.
Connect the USB cable to the printer and to the USB port of the AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station.
Click the Apple menu (), and then click System Preferences.
Click Print & Fax or Print & Scan.
Click the plus sign (+), and then select the name of your HP printer.
Click Add.
