New System only showing two displays Mirrored instead of separate

I have a Gigabyte z370n wifi MB.  It supposedly supports 3 displays. 2x HDMI and 1 Display Port.  My 2 HDMI's work but only mirrored.  The 3rd Display port does not work. It is using an adapter that is HDMI to display port. So there are two issues. Why won't the Computer pick up that it is multiple displays so I can expand separate displays and two, why wouldn't the display port work.  I am not using an additional GPU.  I'm only using the built in for now.  I was thinking maybe some software might help, but I couldn't find any drivers or software on the Gigabyte website.  Thoughts?

User generated image connect the 2 HDMI only first in B and D.
when you go to display options do you see both displays?

Displayport may need an ACTIVE displayport to HDMI connector

Correct. I can see b and D but they will only mirror. If I connect the display port which is actually an HDMI from the monitor to display port adapter, none of the monitors work. If I unplug the display port, the other two hdmi work again but only mirrored.
I found a resolution, but it is not perfect. I have a dual HDMI to USB 3.0 plug. So now my configuration is 1 HDMI to B, and two HDMI plugged into a USB 3.0 Adapter then in one of the USB 3.0 slots.  In this form, all three screens are showing, and they are all Extended.  Solves the problem but makes me wonder why have 2 x HDMI and 1 Display Port if you cannot connect them all at the same time and have them extended.
Only by digging into the manual will give answers.could also be as mentioned before passive vs active display port
