Print job gets stuck in queue

I have this really annoying issue that I can't figure out by myself and the Ricoh support is useless. I have Ricoh 3503 copiers(but I have the same issue on other Ricoh models too). Whenever I try to print from Windows 10 'Photos' or Edge, the print job gets stuck in the queue and the only way to remove it is by stopping/starting the 'Print Spooler' on the server and cleaning the 'spool' folder. That causes major issues with jobs getting stuck in the queue and staff losing their print jobs.

Windows 10  1709 and 1803.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

This is normally true because of an older printer driver not working correctly in Windows 10.  Can you get a newer driver from Ricoh (yes, I did read your post).

ASKER

Thank you for your reply.

I got the latest driver from Ricoh. I'm able to print from any other app except those two.

Thanks!

Thanks again for your quick reply. I found a solution for this problem. I'll post it here in case somebody else runs into this annoying issue:

Log onto the print server and open print management
under the "Drivers" section on the left hand side of print management, right click on the driver, go to isolation and select "none"
under the "Printers" section on the left hand side of print management, right click on the printer and select properties
in properties go to sharing
under sharing, deselect "Render print jobs on client computers"
Click "Apply", "OK"
right click on the canon printer again and select properties
in properties go to sharing
under sharing, reselect "Render print jobs on client computers"
Click "Apply", "OK"

Thanks again.
So I think I have headed you in the correct direction here.
Thank you and I was happy to help you.
