Determine if existing DWORD value is 32 or 64-bit
How can I determine if an existing registry DWORD value is 32-bit or 64-bit?
I need to create several DWORD values within the registry on a Server 2016 Datacenter OS.
I am examining the registry on another Server 2016 Datacenter OS and am going to recreate these values within another Server 2016 Datacenter OS. However, while examining the registry on the server with these registry values I'm not sure if these DWORD values are 32-bit or 64-bit.
Or should I just assume that because the operating system is Server 2016 Datacenter that all DWORD values should be created as 64-bit?
Or how much of a difference does it make if the DWORD value is created as a 32-bit value when it should be a 64-bit value?
