office 365, retention policy, mailboxes
if I apply retention policy to inbox , will it apply to inbox only
because I have sub folders in my outlook, it is not inside my inbox but as seperate sub folders like IT, payment, expenses folder
how can I apply retention policy to them , do I need to create separate retention policy for other sub folders
also if I enable archive , and apply retention policy to move messages after2 yr to archive
will all my content in sub folders also move to archive?
if i create retention policy today stating delete emails older than 2 yrs will emails from today onwards will come into effect or previous emails like 2017 or 2016 emails
is there any way i can put it to go forwards and not backwards
