How do I redirect the Client computer backups to an external drive on Essentials 2012 r2

Server running essential 2012 r2

I'd like to redirect the Client Computer backups to a external USB drive, but don't see anywhere that allows me to direct the backup to a particular drive or folder.

Is it possible to backup Client Computer backups to a external USB drive?
If so how?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you using Server Essentials with Client Backup?

I don't have an Essentials server in front of me, but I believe I recall that client computer backups are stored in a Server Folder (pretty much just another name for a shared folder, but Essentials calls them Server Folders). These folders can be managed from the Server Folders tab in the Dashboard, and there's a wizard for moving them.

In your case, select the Client Computer Backups folder from the Server Folders tab, then click Move the Folder to kick off that wizard. Follow the prompts, and it's done.

More details on adding or moving server folders can be found here.
