USB not working

Hi
am using an hp pavilion m6 1045dx. the motherboard went dead so i changed it with another and did a new win 7 installation but now the pc doesn't recodnize any 2.0 usb device.
after i installed usb 3.0 driver ,now it can detect my external HDD and some 3.0 pendrives but it can't recognise my mouse, usb keyboard ,my android phone, etc

Steps attempted
1. deleted INFCATCH1 and restarted
2. Unchecked 'Allow this computer to turn this device off to save power' in all USB root hub
3.Tried Uninstalling and updating the drivers appearing as 'unknown device' in Device mgr
All these steps have failed

need help please!!!!

Check device manager for unknown devices and then get the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Installing the chipset drivers from HP will almost certainly fix the problem, although as nobus advises, update all the drivers relevant to your replacement motherboard. Make sure that you accurately identify the replacement board; although it physically fits it may have some subtle differences that will make driver updates a real pain...
