Specific excel and word documents will not print. It shows as it prints with no error but nothing comes out of printer. Printer works for everything else.

Hey everyone,

I have a computer that is having a printing issue. The computer prints everything except a few select documents.

Basically what happens when I print - It shows as if it is printing, the job quickly flashes in the print que, and seems as if it prints but nothing comes out of the printer.

Any suggestions?

Could it be possible that your margins on these documents are too large for the printer to handle or that you have a different size/type of paper selected for printing?

What do the documents have in common? Do they perhaps all have the same logo, or do they all have an embedded Excel graph? If they have anything they have in common, try removing that to see if the document then prints.

Have a look in the C:\Windows\system32\spool\printers folder - it should be empty. If it isn't, stop the print spooler service, delete everything in the folder, and restart the spooler service. Now try printing the documents again.
