Our users are leaving their VPNs connected and then breaking DHCP when they connect to the network locally.
Our users keep leaving the VPN connections on their laptops active. This means when they arrive at work and connect to the network DHCP completely breaks and goes into a death-spiral of assigning bad addresses.
Any ideas on how I could prevent this from happening in the future? (We are using Sonicwall's GlobalVPN client).

suggest you use a different IP subnet for DHCP over VPN
create a new DHCP pool, but do not assign it to an interface, e.g. 192.168.254.60-99
then on DHCP over VPN set the relay IP to an IP address of that subnet but not in the scope.
e.g.. 182.168.254.254

Hey Guys, currently we have the VPN just using the same DHCP scope as other users. For now we have resolved the issue by disabling auto-reconnect on the VPN client, but I will try and implement your suggestions as well.
Thanks!
