office 365, outlook

I am looking to upgrade outlook 2010 to outlook 2016.

we have E3 licenses available for users.

outlook 2010 is installed on premise in citrix environment.we are  streaming Outlook 2010 via XenApp not part of the VDI build.

1) can we download office 2016 from office 365 portal , if so then can it  auto populate  on each 300 users desktop, if so what configuration changes we have to make.
2) if not then how we should gor for an upgrade to outlook 2016 as our subscriptions has covered office application?

As David has said but obviously, assuming you're not using something like App-V, it means you have to uninstall Office 2010 from your XenApp servers first and reinstall Office 2016.

Depending on your environment, you may want/need the ADMX templates to control/configure Office 2016 settings: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49030

It may mean for the duration of your migration that you have XenApp servers with both Office 2010 and Office 2016 installed, so you'll need to think about two AD groups to control access specific to the version of office, two sets of servers etc.

adminfile updates/office2016.MSP /config ProPlus.WW/config.xml  - what is the meaning of this
You realise you've accepted an incomplete answer?

There is more to installation and deployment in a Citrix environment.

Good luck.
