actually what Data Obfuscation within applications/database is designed for ? more on application side ?
Data Obfuscation can mean a couple of things. It can mean a simple masking of data when loading something like a test database with real data when you don't want the real data loaded. It can also mean encryption. Encryption should be an easy one to understand: You don't want people to access the data. Take DBAs for example.
