RAID HARDWARE HDD

Exists any problem if I combine 5 WD NAS HDD and 5 Segate NAS HDD the same speed and cache to create a RAID?  or they need to be the same brand?

I've still to find definitive proof that Dell tweak their disks. I've found one example where they make the 12Gb SAS disk say it is only 6Gb capable because OMSA shouts like mad that the other disks are all too slow if you don't clock it down. One more example where they stamped a code page with their signature then backed down due to user complaints but apart from those two it's been hundreds of Dell servers that work well with unbranded disks.
