Always on top utility that will make certain apps always appear on top whenever they are launched

There are many "always on top" utilities that can be used to make certain programs always stay on top of other windows.

However, I'm looking for an "always on top" utility that will make it so that whenever a certain application (such as snippingtool.exe) will always appear on top of other windows whenever it is launched.

I launch the snippintool.exe utility by pressing the Windows-R keyboard combination (to launch the "Run" dialog box and then type in "snippingtool" and press enter. Or on systems that I use all the time I have a keyboard combination set up that makes it so that when I press the predefined keys the snippingtool utility will launch.

The problem is that the snippingtool programs sometimes opens behind other applications (such as LogMeIn). I often need to take screenshots of remote systems I am connected to. Furthermore, I need to be sure that the snippingtool will always appear on top of all other program windows. I don't leave the snippingtool utility launched all the time but when I do run or launch it I need to make sure it will always appear on top of all other program windows.

What sort of more advanced "Always on top" utilities will allow this to be done?

I take no credit for this, but you can view this link here:

They have some very interesting apps that might appeal to you.  Hopefully one of them will work well for you.

Very good write up on how to use each one of these apps to make any application or program 'always on top'.

Are there any other programs or utilities that will do this?

Any other programs or utilities that will help the Snipping tool to stay on top?  I am sure there are.  I haven't had a huge need for this.  So hopefully someone else who has had this particular issue can chime in.  Otherwise there are a bunch of other apps and tools that can help with keeping apps and programs on top.

Is there something in particular that you are looking for specifically?  Were the options in the article not helpful?

I believe from our earlier threads together that you are an AutoHotkey user. If not, my EE article will get you going on it:
AutoHotkey - Getting Started

If you launch the Snipping Tool in W10 with this AutoHotkey script, it should always stay on top:

WinWait,Snipping Tool

I set the hotkey in the script above to Ctrl+Shift+s, but, of course, you can make it some other hotkey that you prefer. I tested this on W10 Pro 64-bit, Version 1803, OS Build 17134.112. After launching the Snipping Tool with the script above, it came on top of the programs that were already opened and it stayed on top of every program that I opened afterwards. Regards, Joe

Looking forward to your feedback. Works fine here, but, as with many things, YMMV. Regards, Joe
